The applications are invited Haryana Roadways  through  Registered  Post in the prescribed application form from the eligible 

candidates for the recruitment of Heavy Vehicle Contract /Daily Wages Basis Drivers in  various depots of Haryana 

Roadways for 1513 vacancies as per details in the table given below:-

General Category -131 Posts,

Schedule Castes -858 Posts,

Backward Classes  -524 Posts (BC(A) – 389 Posts BC(B) -135 Posts)

ELIGIBILITY &ESSENTIONAL QUALIFICATION :

An applicant must (a) be a citizen of India, (b) be of good moral character (c) be of sound health 

(d) not have more than one spouse living (e)  be  matriculate with Hindi or Sanskrit from a 

recognized Board/University and should be holding a valid Transport Vehicle Driving Licence 

along with a minimum of 2 years’ experience of driving a Heavy Goods Vehicle including 

proficiency in driving a Heavy Passenger Motor Vehicle or 10 years experience of driving a 

vehicle in the Armed Forces

PAY SCALE :Heavy Vehicle Contract/Daily wages basis Drive  /   10000 Per month Fixwd

HEAVY VEHICLE DRIVER Grade II                    /    5200-20200+1900 (Grade Pay)

HEAVY VEHICLE DRIVER Grade I                    /     5200-20200+2400 (Grade Pay)

APPLICATION FEES :belonging to General category are required to attach a demand draft of  `200/- as 

application processing fee. The candidates of SC/BC candidates of Haryana only are required to 

attach a demand draft of   ` 50/- as application processing fee. The demand draft should be 

issued by any Nationalized / Scheduled Bank in favour of the Director General, State Transport, 

Haryana, Chandigarh. The applicants shall write his name, father’s name, name of the post and 

advertisement No. on the backside of the demand draft. 

AGE LIMIT :The applicant shall not be less than 18 years and more than 40 years of age. Applicants 

belonging to SC/BC category shall be given age relaxation as per Haryana Government 

Instructions/Rules. For Ex-servicemen applicants relaxation upto continuous military service 

added by three years is permissible.
