4th Generation: - this generation 1970 onward and the entire computer circulating on a single silicon chip Micro-processors. Development of micro-processor made it possible to place compete C.P.U of a computer on a single chip.Circuits having about 5000 transistors. The first micro-processor, Intel 4004, was announced by Intel Corporation of U.S.A in 1971. Speed 30 Pico seconds capacity 32 to 51200 million.

5th and future generation:- The fifth generation machine are proposed to based on parallel processing hardware and AI (artificial Intelligency) software. The research on fifth generation computers is so expensive.
